Mission trip to Belize

This Thursday I am flying to spread Christ's love in Saint Ignacio, Belize on a mission trip. We will be working at three different schools to provide Christian education, love on their community, install libraries, repair and construct playground equipment. We are bringing over 10,000 books, swing-sets, playground toys like jump-ropes, yo-yos, and educational toys for their classrooms. I praise God for preparing my heart for this trip over the past few weeks. He has been growing me to have a servants heart and to become more flexible. My second grade teacher used the mantra, "adjust if we must." We are going to Belize with an itinerary and plan of events to accomplish, but we do not want our itinerary to interfere with God's plan. The #1 mission of this trip is to show God's love, to share His word, and to cultivate friendships. Please keep our group in your prayers the next week. I have been praying the following prayer: " Dear Lord, as our group prepares to serve you, and your people, help us put your Word, into action, through love. Let us know your teachings by heart and share them lovingly and courageously with others. Let them know Christ's love through our actions. Let your light shine through us and all of our actions glorify you. Thank you for reminding us that life is not about us, it is about others. Most of all, Thank you for your grace, for it is not by our good works that we are saved, but through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen."
